Romance DawnA journey around Grandline

Do you know how a perfect world should be like? People should trade in only ONE currency, Dorth (Earth Dollar). This way, there'll be no such thing as currency exchange and spot rate and historic rate and average rate and closing rate. Because, there is only ONE currency.
And why bother having so many accounting standards? Either have only one or none at all. Of course, when you see the whole world as one single country, there's no point having so many different accounting standards aye? And all transactions should be completed on the spot. Why do people love owing other people money? When a good is received, money transaction should be made on the spot. This way, receivables and payables are eliminated. Don't you think the balance sheet look nicer this way.
Why the hell do people love paying using cheques? Do you think that accountants love doing bank reconciliation? Do you think it's fun tracing hundreds of pages of bank statement and comparing it with your bank ledger account? Do you think it's fun? huh? Therefore, cheques should be gone.
Why do bank even bother giving bank overdraft? What if the company has over a million in overdraft and has no going concern and can't pay it back? Wouldn't it be the bank's own fault? I think that bank should freeze an account when it reaches (whatever currency)10. See? Another item less on the balance sheet.
And which smart ass was the one who came up with loans payback in installments and hire purchase? You borrow a lumpsum, you pay back a lumpsum. Isn't that a lot better? Then you would have less things to calculate.
Why do we need provision and depreciation anyway? If the IRB/IRS doesn't allow depreciation, why can't we all just use capital allowance? Less things to calculate, less things in the balance sheet. Of course, if all debts and loans are eliminated (as mentioned earlier) then we wouldn't need provision for bad debts anymore, do we?
Why do certain companies guarantee the retirement life of an employee? If the company has paid them enough during their employment, then there is no reason for the employee to continue being a liability of the company right? Therefore, all countries and companies should be like Malaysia and Singapore, having EPF/CPF. Oops, another standard (FRS 102)in the FRS is gone. Heh heh....
Seriously, why are there so many companies with subsidiaries here and there? Companies should not have so many subsidiaries. In fact, they should have none at all. If a company wants to sell something else, they should have another brandname. A company should be allowed to have multiple brandnames and portfolio (all sold by the same company) but no subsidiaries.
Ahh~~ see? No more corporate reporting. No more consolidation. And the best part? No more P2 in ACCA examination. Isn't life great?
PS: This post is not complete. More things will be added.
Let's see.... first, Rachael got herself a new boyfriend, Justin. He's a really nice chap. He'll be moving in soon. Which means, I'll have a new housemate. Yippee!! Someone to kill the roaches when my boyfriend isn't around. Nyehehe..... Anyway, I hope this will work out well between the two of them.
I was back in Melaka for Deepavali and over the weekend. Didn't have a chance to meet up with any of my friends but I got to spend a lot of time with my family especially my younger brother and I'm getting better at playing "Secret" (Darling still can't play that. Nyehehe....) And my elder bro just left for S. Korea for work. He'll be missing cny, but that's ok... it's only not ok when he's eligible to give me angpao and he's not here...
My younger bro is getting braces so the next time I see him, he'll have metal teeth.
My ACCA exams are next month. Papers I'm taking: 3. Papers I think I'll pass : 2. Why is it so? Because I bloody hate Corporate Reporting. I hope it'll be something easy like foreign currency exchange instead of cash flow. If cash flow comes out for the exam, I'll be doomed. I really really want to pass cos if I do, then next sitting, I'll only be taking 2 papers. Which means, I'll only have classes 2 days a week from Jan till April. Yippee!!! But only if I pass....
And since my exams are around the corner, I'm so deprived of games. I haven't been playing anything since early Oct. The last game I played was Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass on the DS Lite (I did play Gears of Wars on the XBox 360 but it's not counted cos I didn't complete it). Oh and I finished Zelda in 3 days. Ain't I good? Darling bought me Castlevania for the PSP but I can't play it yet. Otherwise I wouldn't stop until I have completed it.
So yeah... that's about all.. Will blog again when I feel like it..
If you think that Singapore is a whole lot cleaner than Malaysia, think again. This place is infested with roaches. Back in Malaysia, I can go by one whole year without even seeing a roach (not even a baby roach). But here, GAWD, they are EVERYWHERE!!!!
I see about 3 a week, on average. I see them in my apartment, at the stairs, by the roadside, everywhere. Sometimes dead, sometimes half dead, and I absolutely hate the not dead ones.
I wonder... why the hell aren't they extinct yet??!!!! They were supposed to be gone together with the dinosaurs. Why are they still here? Someone please exterminate them from the face of the earth, PLEEAASEEEEE!!!!!!
Oh, look what I found! A dead blog. *revives blog*
So, what's up in my life? Well, I'm finally out of MMU. My convocation was some time last week. To all you miserable people who are still there, good luck!
I've been in Singapore since mid June. Nope, not working. Although I desperately need the cash. I'm furthering my studies here. ACCA. Life is pretty bored here. Classes are only 3 days a week. I spend the other 4 days at home reading manga or playing games. Probably only spent 1 day studying.
I've completed all the games from the Castlevania console series. I'm now down to my last one. Circle of the Moon. I'm seriously addicted to it now. I hope Konami will release one for the PSP (I'm out of games to play).
